What’s that? A new Google toy to play with? Out of curiosity, plenty of us have been taking a peek at Google’s latest offering, so conveniently placed within our gmail accounts. I wonder at what point we realize that Google has already taken over the world? When we figure it out, will we even care?! Either way, I’ve decided that I’d give it a shot, and not rely on the opinion of others to make my mind up for me.
Taking Google Buzz for a test drive
I’ve seen a ton of warnings about the new Buzz feature, Google’s response to Twitter, with a little bit of Facebook influence thrown it on the side. So I get it, but Buzz is in a beta release, after all. There will be improvements to come. The question is, even without the problems it comes with, would it be worth using? I’ve set up an account and will make an effort to use it for a little while, checking it whenever I check in with my Twitter account. I’ll look at what Buzz is for now, and what its potential is to be down the road.
I’ll make sure to come up with a detailed review of my own, so keep an eye out for that in a week or two.
